Short description

What's left behind the scenes

The civilization of the tribe shown in the film is inspired by the civilization of the Sami people, who live in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia.
Young Iduna asks young Agnarr what he is reading, and hears in reply: “Something by a Dane.” The author of 'The Snow Queen,' the fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), was Danish.
In the forest scene, when Kristoff sings the song "Lost in the Woods" and contemplates proposing to Anna, there's a reference to the opening scene from Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" music video.
Olaf claims that turtles "breathe through their butts." This refers to a real phenomenon known as "cloacal respiration." It has been observed in some species of turtles – for example, painted turtles, alligator snapping turtles, and Fitzroy River turtles.
In the first part of "Frozen," Elsa is never shown without shoes, so the animators didn't need to draw her toes. But they had to do so in the sequel.
