Short description
When barbarian hordes threaten her homeland, the brave and cunning Mulan disguises herself as a male soldier to swell the ranks in her aging father's stead. The warrior's remarkable courage drives her through powerful battle scenes and brutal wartime strategy. - Wei Zhao was cast in the lead role, beating out Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh, and Liu Liefei.
- The adventures of Mulan were first described in the famous Chinese musical poem “The Ballad of Mulan” in the 6th century. Unfortunately, the original text of this work was lost during the reign of the Tang dynasty, so the later work by the famous Chinese musician and lyricist, Guo Maoquan, in the 12th century is considered the original poem.
