Short description

The story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress, who dreamed of becoming an opera singer, despite having a terrible singing voice.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Meryl Streep sings herself in the film, and Simon Helberg plays the piano himself.
  • In the French film "Marguerite" (2015), the image of the main character – Marguerite Dumont – was also based on the biography of Jenkins.
  • Rebecca Ferguson, who played Kathleen, did not graduate from drama school. After finishing her scenes, she often stayed on set to watch Meryl Streep act and, perhaps, learn something from her.
