Short description
Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker, with the help of his mentor Tony Stark, tries to balance his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens, New York City, with fighting crime as his superhero alter ego Spider-Man as a new threat, the Vulture, emerges.
What's left behind the scenes
- After the release of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 3: Enemy of the Realm" (2007), Sony considered filming a fourth film. Tobey Maguire was to play the main character, and John Malkovich was to play the villain, the Vulture. Malkovich had already begun preparing for filming when the project was cancelled. A reboot of the franchise was announced with Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" starring Andrew Garfield. The film was released in 2012.
