Short description

What's left behind the scenes

Filming took place in July 2016 in Norfolk, East Anglia.
Before Jennifer Jason Leigh was cast as the psychologist, the filmmakers considered Frances McDormand for the role.
The film is based on the first book of Jeff VanderMeer's "Southern Reach" trilogy, which was published in February 2014.
