Short description
After years of being browbeaten and walked on, a man wakes one day wearing an expressionless mask, fitted with a personality that enables him to take revenge.
What's left behind the scenes
- This is the first film by George A. Romero not to be shot near his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
- The horror-punk band Misfits from New Jersey appeared in the film. They performed two songs from their album “Famous Monsters”: Descending Angel and Scream, and also wrote two songs specifically for the film — Bruiser and Fiend Without a Face.
- George A. Romero directed a music video for the Misfits’ song Scream, and the only thing he wanted as a fee was for them to appear in the film “Bully” (2000) and write a couple of songs for it.
- According to George A. Romero and his wife, Christine Forest, in the commentary on the DVD of “Dawn of the Dead” (1978), the distributors of “Bully” (2000) presented it as a horror film. But both Romero and Forest felt that it was not just a horror film, but more of a story about a man going through difficult times in life.
