Short description
When their best friends announce that they're separating, a professor and his wife discover the faults in their own marriage.
What's left behind the scenes
- A month before the film's premiere, Allen's civil wife Mia Farrow publicly accused Allen of molesting their minor daughter Dylan. When Farrow made the accusation, there were still four days left to finish filming, but both Allen and Farrow completed the remaining shooting days. Subsequently, a police-ordered medical examination was conducted, and the accusations of pedophilia were dropped against Allen.
- The film was shot entirely on a handheld camera.
- Woody Allen considers the film 'Husbands and Wives' one of his best works, because, as he later noted, all the radical experiments he undertook during filming were successful.
