Short description

A chance encounter between two strangers in Grand Central Terminal sparks a life-changing, nighttime sojourn through New York City. They grow into each other's most trusted confidants when an evening of unexpected adventure forces them to confront their fears and take control of their lives.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Chris Evans' directorial debut.
  • As Chris Evans admitted in an interview, one of the reasons Alice Eve was cast in the lead role was her British origin. The filmmakers initially believed that the heroine should speak with a British accent. However, Eve, who was eventually cast in the lead role, still played an American.
  • Chris Evans wanted to learn to play the trumpet and play it himself in the corresponding episodes at the station. When it turned out that this wasn't such a simple task, Evans decided to just memorize the finger movements to hit the notes of the melodies he was supposedly playing.
  • At some point during pre-production, specifically in 2008, the film was planned to be directed by Joel Schumacher and star Monica Bellucci. The film was to be called “Train at Half Past Two.”
  • Producer Mark Cassin, who played one of the roles, was the director and one of the participants in the film “Push” (2011), which also starred Chris Evans.
  • When talking about Carrie, Alice Eve means Carrie Bradshaw, the fictional character and main heroine of the series “Sex and the City,” its two film sequels, and the young adult prequel series. Eve even starred in Michael Patrick King’s “Sex and the City 2” (2010).
