Short description

While standing in the doorway of the video shop where he works, Bazil is inadvertently shot in the head. Now homeless and jobless, he is taken in by a troupe of misfits who live in a giant mound of trash. There Bazil begins his quest for revenge against the people who produced the gun that shot him.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film that Basil watches at the video rental store before the shootout is “The Big Sleep” starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
  • When Basil eavesdrops on the president of an arms-dealing company, he accidentally drops the microphone into the fireplace of the room, where he hears a duet of cello and saw. This is a reference to the director's early work on "Delicatessen."
  • Several times during the film, posters for the film "Micmacs" appear in the frame, depicting precisely what is happening on screen at that moment.
