Short description

In a post-apocalyptic world, a warrior wandering through the desert comes upon a group of settlers who are being menaced by a murderous gang that is after the water they control.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The shipwreck, partially buried in the desert, is that of the cargo ship Eduard Bohlen, which wrecked off the Skeleton Coast in Namibia in 1909.
  • The film was shot in the Deadvlei desert, located within the Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia.
  • The film features a land yacht called the Wind Racer.
  • The city was named "Meridian" after the Third World War.
  • The film is often compared to "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior." Brian May, who composed the music for the film, also wrote the music for "Mad Max" and "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior."
