Short description
While holidaying in the French Alps, a Swedish family deals with acts of cowardliness as an avalanche breaks out.
What's left behind the scenes
- The mountain road in the film's final scene with the bus is the Stelvio Pass in northern Italy. It was named the most beautiful road in the world in 2002 on the show 'Top Gear'.
- The addition of some scenes to the script was inspired by videos director Ruben Östlund saw on YouTube. This is how the avalanche, which kicks off the story, appeared in the script, and the 12-year-old accordionist playing Vivaldi's 'Summer' was taken directly from a video he found.
