Short description

In a dystopian Detroit, grand houses that once housed the wealthy are now homes of the city's most-dangerous criminals. Surrounding the area is a giant wall to keep the rest of Detroit safe. For undercover cop Damien Collier, every day is a battle against corruption as he struggles to bring his father's killer, Tremaine, to justice. Meanwhile, Damien and an ex-con named Lino work together to save the city from a plot to destroy it.

What's left behind the scenes

When Damien and Lino crash a large van into a brick house, shots from inside the vehicle are shown; at this moment, it is visible that it is actually the interior of a Mustang GT350, not the van.
The film is a remake of the French film "District 13" (2004), in which David Belle played the same role.
When Lino and Lola kidnap Tremaine, Lola puts the gearshift into 'Drive' and then steps on the gas, but the car drives in reverse.
David Belle does not speak English fluently, and his speech had a strong French accent during filming. To make his character more convincing, Vin Diesel dubbed all of his lines.
Throughout the film, the characters receive numerous blows to the jaw, nose, and other parts of the body, but none of them seem to feel any pain.
When Damien jumps from the roof after Lino, he grabs the windowsill with a lot of shards of broken glass. Logically, his hands should have been cut and wounded, but in subsequent shots his hands and fingers are intact.
At 1:12:20, a couple of minutes before the main characters' fight, Damien briefly shows a facial wound that he will only receive during the fight itself.
