Short description

In this rousing sequel to Kickboxer, Tong Po broods about his defeat at the hands of Kurt Sloan. Po and his managers resort to drastic measures to goad Kurt's brother into the ring for a rematch.

What's left behind the scenes

  • In the final fight scene, neither Sasha Mitchell nor Michel Qissi even touched the broken glass; instead, prop (rubber) ice was used. And in the scene where one of the heroes puts his hands into a container of broken glass, a prop hand was used.
  • The script had numerous flaws, or rather inconsistencies with the beginning of the story. A major plus was the return of two actors to the film – Dennis Chan and Michel Qissi. In addition, it also featured a popular action movie villain – Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
  • Sasha Mitchell starred in the lead role in the sequel. Jean-Claude Van Damme participated again, but this time only as one of the screenwriters.
