- Pierre Bergé, a friend and partner of Yves Saint Laurent, took a direct part in preparing the film. He provided 77 original outfits for filming the 1976 Opéra Ballets Russes collection show.
- Berger's reaction to the film was as follows: 'There are moments I don't like, but that doesn't matter. You must perceive the film as it is, as a whole.'
