Short description

In 1955 in Italy, race car driver Jed Cavalcanti suffers a mishap during the Molte Miglia rally and finds himself in a small town with a few familial surprises.

What's left behind the scenes

  • At the 5-minute mark of the film, as the protagonist walks towards the phone, a male voice can be heard in the background. This is a recording lasting several seconds from an original Italian radio broadcast of the 1979 Formula 1 race, when a battle for second place unfolded between Gilles Villeneuve (1950-1982) and René Arnoux, with commentary by Mario Poltronieri (1929-2017).
  • The race title shown at the beginning of the film, “Molte Miglia,” is a reference to “Mille Miglia,” a endurance race on public roads held in Italy from 1927 to 1957 – from Brescia to Rome and back.
