Short description
A post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind.
What's left behind the scenes
- During the scene of Ilay's arrest and imprisonment on Carnegie's orders, a poster for the film "A Boy and His Dog" (1974) can be seen on the wall.
- The cannibals' hands tremble because they suffer from kuru (a rare neurodegenerative prion disease, a form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease) transmitted from person to person through cannibalism. Trembling hands are the first symptom, which is why those around Ilay watch his hands throughout the film.
