Short description

In occupied Paris, an actress wed to a Jewish theater owner must keep him hidden from the Nazis while doing both of their jobs.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The scene in which Grangé beats the Nazi collaborator Dacia critic is based on a real episode in which Jean Marais beat theatre critic Alain Lobré from the collaborationist publication Partout. In his memoirs, Marais described the "last metro," which is reflected in the film's title.
