Short description
On the brink of a midlife crisis, 30-something Mike O'Donnell wishes he could have a "do-over." And that's exactly what he gets when he wakes up one morning to find he's 17 years old again. With his adult mind stuck inside the body of a teenager, Mike actually has the chance to reverse some decisions he wishes he'd never made. But maybe they weren't so bad after all.
What's left behind the scenes
- The American premiere of the film was initially scheduled for August 15, 2008, then moved to February 20, 2009, and finally, the release date was set for April 17, 2009.
- Towards the end of filming, Zac Efron developed appendicitis. Initially, Thomas Lennon assured him it was just a minor ailment, but after filming wrapped, Efron saw doctors and was immediately hospitalized for surgery.
- To increase realism, Zac Efron asked his friend Matthew Perry to help him with lines and movements on camera.
- Mike proposed to Scarlett when he found out she was pregnant at 17, but 20 years later, his daughter is 17.
