Short description
Epic film of the legendary Spanish hero, Rodrigo Diaz ("El Cid" to his followers), who, without compromising his strict sense of honour, still succeeds in taking the initiative and driving the Moors from Spain.

- The film was shot in Spain, specifically in the historic town of Ampudia in the province of Palencia and the Torrelobatón castle in the province of Valladolid, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, at the Templar fortress of Peñíscola near Valencia, in Portugal at Belmonte Castle, and also at Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland (Great Britain).
