Short description

A television reporter and her cameraman are trapped inside a building quarantined by the CDC after the outbreak of a mysterious virus which turns humans into bloodthirsty killers.

What's left behind the scenes

  • It took Doug Jones 4 hours to transform into the infected man.
  • There is no music in the film.
  • Jennifer Carpenter deliberately did not appear on the set, which was designed to resemble an attic, in advance so as not to know what she would see there.
  • The symptoms of rabies in the film are depicted with clinical accuracy.
  • The events of the first and second films occur simultaneously.
