Short description

Arthur is a 30-year-old child who will inherit $750 million if he complies with his family's demands and marries the woman of their choosing.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film is considered a modern adaptation of P.G. Wodehouse's (1881-1975) novels about the aristocrat Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves, with Arthur playing the role of Wooster and his servant Hobson playing the role of Jeeves.
  • Sir John Gielgud repeatedly refused the role of Hobson, and only agreed when the fee was raised to the point where refusing would have been a sin.
