Short description
1950s New York City. A bad and bloody gang war is about to erupt on the dysfunctional streets of Brooklyn. The Deuces at war with the vicious Vipers. Scott Kalvert directs this tale of lust, drugs, mayhem and madness during one hot summer on the streets of New York.
What's left behind the scenes
- Josh Hartnett was initially cast as Tino, who was eventually played by James Franco, but he left the project to play Danny in Michael Bay's war drama "Pearl Harbor" (2001).
- Fairuza Balk grew her hair for filming with Scott Calvert, and used special hairpins during the shooting of the pool scene.
- In one scene, Leon (played by Stephen Dorff) dreamed that his brother Bobby (played by Brad Renfro) died of an overdose. In 2008, Renfro actually died of an overdose.
