Short description

A family moves from New York into an old mansion in the countryside, still filled with the previous owner's things. As they begin to make it their own, a series of events begin to occur that makes them believe that the former inhabitants are not yet gone.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming of the picture began on August 6, 2002, in Toronto, and ended in early November 2002.
  • Christopher Plummer (1929-2021) spent only two days on the set – one day filming scenes with Dennis Quaid, and the second with Stephen Dorff.
  • Initially, the film was titled "Cold Creek Manor." Then it was decided to rename it "The Devil's Throat." And only after the final editing was completed was it decided to revert to the original title.
