Short description

Bridget Jones navigates life as a widow and single mum with the help of her family, friends, and former lover, Daniel. Back to work and on the apps, she's pursued by a younger man and maybe – just maybe – her son's science teacher.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Towards the end of the film, Bridget's friends discuss the fact that they have been close for 30 years – that’s exactly how long it has been since the first book about Bridget Jones was published.
  • Hugh Grant decided not to star in the third film of the franchise – he didn't like the script and what happens to his character. He is involved in a plane crash at the very beginning of the film, however it is later revealed that he survived (in case the character is needed in potential sequels). Thus, Grant's character appears in this film, although the circumstances of his survival remain unclear.
