Short description

When Maureen Coyle, a suicidal nun who resembles Norman's former victim, Marion Crane, arrives at the motel, all bets are off and "Mother" is less than happy.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Anthony Perkins, who directed the film himself, wanted Jeff Fahey to be completely nude in the love scene. But since the actor was very embarrassed by his nudity, he was allowed to cover himself with two lamps.
  • At the insistence of studio executives, Perkins had to reshoot the ending.
  • This film marked Anthony Perkins’ directorial debut, and he intended to shoot it in black and white. However, the “Universal” studio opposed this.
