Short description
The host of an investigative news show is convinced by the CIA that the friends he has invited to a weekend in the country are engaged in a conspiracy that threatens national security.

- After the film was poorly received by audiences at a preview screening, the studio demanded that the director make changes, but received a refusal. Instead of the fired Sam Peckinpah, the assistant director of montage, Edward M. Abrams, took over editing and radically changed the film's ending.
