Short description

Its All Gone Pete Tong is a comedy following the tragic life of the legendary Frankie Wilde. The story takes us through Frankie's life from being one of the best DJs alive, through a subsequent battle with a hearing disorder, culminating in his mysterious disappearance from the scene.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Paul Kay is not a fan of dance music. When the actor needed to be wearing headphones according to the plot, he listened to punk rock.
  • The film was advertised as a biographical story about deaf DJ Frankie Wilde, but it is not based on real events. The film is also not based on the story of DJ Pete Tong. To add credibility to the story, the production company even stated that Frankie Wilde and his manager had sued them for using the DJ's biographical facts without permission. Paul Kay and Mike Wilmot revealed this hoax at a press conference after the world premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
