Short description

While attempting to seduce gorgeous lawyer Diane Lightson, wealthy gadabout Chris Thorne agrees to drive her to Atlantic City, N.J. But, when some reckless driving draws the attention of a deeply critical cop, they and the flamboyant "Brazillionaires" who tagged along end up in the court of a grotesque and vengeful judge, who has a special vendetta against the wealthy and erudite.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Dan Aykroyd based the film on a story that happened to him in 1978 when he was pulled over for speeding in a rural town in the northeastern United States. The police officer took him to the local judge in the middle of the night.
  • The director himself plays two roles – the judge in frightening makeup and the stout Bobo.
  • Fausto and Renalda claim they are from Brazil, but they have Argentinian passports.
