Short description
Bennie travels to Buenos Aires to find his long-missing older brother, a once-promising writer who is now a remnant of his former self. Bennie's discovery of his brother's near-finished play might hold the answer to understanding their shared past and renewing their bond.

- When developing the visual style, Coppola and cinematographer Mihály Málímár Jr. studied Antonioni's 'Night,' 'The Doll,' and Elia Kazan's 'On the Waterfront.' Coppola had admired these films since his student days.
- The film was shot in monochrome with splashes of color – similar to "Fight Club." Coppola wanted to cast Matt Dillon in the role of Tetro to establish a closer connection with "Fight Club," but the actor was busy filming another movie.
