Short description
The Nazarenes of Zipaquirá celebrate Holy Week by making a parade full of images and sacred objects. The stations of the cross, the death and resurrection of Jesus are narrated through the heavy sacred images that the Nazarenes carry; making simile with the suffering of Jesus on the stations of the cross. The purpose of the celebration is to exalt the liturgy, sacramental veneration and sacrifice as an act of devotion.
