Short description

After leaving Washington D.C. hospital, plastic surgeon Ben Stone heads for California, where a lucrative practice in Beverly Hills awaits. After a car accident, he's sentenced to perform as the community's general practitioner.

What's left behind the scenes

  • In 1990, shortly before filming began on this movie, Michael J. Fox noticed a tremor in the little finger of his left hand. It turned out he had Parkinson's disease. In some scenes in the film, he is shown with his left hand in his pocket, presumably to hide the tremor in his little finger.
