Short description
A newly appointed small-town sheriff and his begrudging deputy get tangled up in a web of lies and corruption involving shady businessmen and the cartel while investigating the murder of a mysterious woman.

- The original title of the film translates from English as "Desert Dawn."
- The film received special permission to continue production uninterrupted during the labor dispute between the actors' union SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). (This was the first actors' strike in 43 years and the first joint strike of actors and writers in 63 years.)
- At one point, Randy Charach was considered as the producer and Brandon Slagel as the director of the film.
