Short description
A serial killer kidnaps a young boy after murdering his mother, then raises him to be his accomplice. After years in captivity, the boy must choose between escaping or following in his captor's bloody footprints.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film initially received an NC-17 rating from the MPAA for “several scenes of explicit violence,” but was later edited to receive an R rating for “particularly disturbing and sadistic scenes of violence, including bloody murders and rape, as well as for coarse language and heightened sexuality.”
- Jennifer Lynch and Vincent D'Onofrio stated that they would have preferred the film to be titled "Rabbit".
- In the scene where Bob throws stones at Rabbit, Vincent D'Onofrio was actually throwing sponge stones at Evan Bird.
- The director's cameo – Jennifer Lynch played the host of a cooking show on TV in the film.
