Short description

Jason Kemp is a quadriplegic who passes the time spying on his neighbors from his window. By chance he catches one of them, Julian Thorpe, beating his wife and reports it to the police. He becomes certain that Julian has killed her, but fails to convince his nurse or his friends of any foul play.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Robert Forster also starred in another remake of an Alfred Hitchcock film that same year – “Psycho” (1998).
  • The scene where Jason's breathing tube comes loose and he has to clatter his teeth to get the nurse’s attention actually happened to Christopher Reeve after he was in an accident.
  • When Detective Moore (Robert Forster) interviews Jason Kemp (Christopher Reeve), Kemp states that he is the architect of the Woolrich Center for the Performing Arts project. Cornell Woolrich is the author of the novella "This Should Be a Murder," upon which the film is based.
