Short description

The Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, is relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program, where fitting in soon becomes challenging as their old habits die hard.

What's left behind the scenes

Filming took place from August to October 2012 in Normandy, Gacé, Le Sap, New York, and at the Cité du Cinéma studio.
At the film club, Fred was suggested to watch and discuss "Goodfellas" (1990), in which Robert De Niro also played one of the main roles.
The film went through several title changes: “The Blakes,” “Badfellas,” and “Malavita.”
The film is based on Tonino Benacquista's novel "Malavita" (2004).
