Short description

A three-hour television version of the film exists, which first aired on May 22, 1996. This version features more residents of Castle Rock, and their life stories are shown in greater detail.
The film company "Castle Rock Entertainment" is named after Castle Rock, Maine – the fictional town where the heroes of many Stephen King books live, including the novel "Needful Things".
At the beginning of the film, in one of the scenes, a bandage is clearly visible on Sheriff Pangborn's left index finger, but in the next scene the bandage disappears.
