Short description

A washed up golf pro working at a driving range tries to qualify for the US Open in order to win the heart of his succesful rival's girlfriend.

What's left behind the scenes

Before filming the movie, Kevin Costner took golf lessons for a long time, and he performed many of the shots in the film himself.
The film was shot on location at one of the American golf clubs in Tubac, Arizona.
The final scene, in which the protagonist stubbornly attempts to make a very difficult shot and spends 12 attempts on it, is partially based on real events.
