Short description
Fanny Price is sent to live with her wealthy relatives, the Bertrams, where she is treated poorly by most except her cousin Edmund. Her life is complicated by the arrival of the worldly Mary and Henry Crawford.

- Johnny Lee Miller, who played Edmund Bertram here, played Charles Price, Fanny’s younger brother, in the first adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel – the BBC television series from 1983.
- Julia and Maria Bertram are playing the glass harmonica. In 1761, Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) improved an earlier version of this instrument, making it even more popular.
- Hanna Taylor-Gordon and Talia Gordon, who played Fanny and Susan in childhood, are sisters in real life.
