Short description
An elite special forces operative is sent by Russian Intelligence to hunt down former teammates who have hijacked nuclear warheads.
What's left behind the scenes
- Filming had to be interrupted repeatedly for various reasons: restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 protest movement, logistical issues at certain locations, Darren Holmquist's surgery (which halted scenes involving him for several months), and other factors.
- Tatyana Nevy, who played special agent Lyudmila Alekseenko, already had experience filming scenes involving Eastern martial arts, but for this project, she underwent additional training with Darren Holmquist and Martin Chan.
- Preparation for the opening fight scene took three months. Particular attention was paid to Tatyana Nevy's training. Some of the throws she used were borrowed from the sambo repertoire to emphasize the character's background as a former member of the Russian special forces.
- Some of the fight scenes were not in the script and were improvised during filming, while others were modified as they went along (more specifically, the composition of the opposing fighters was changed).
