Ilia Mozgovoi

I was born in Leningrad in 1978. I graduated from the Lyceum of Dramatic Art.
In 1997, I entered the Theater Academy, majoring in acting. Our course was unique because we were given not only acting training but also serious artistic education — technology, drawing, scenography. This largely determined my future path: I learned to combine theater with production, and this skill still helps me to this day.
Since 1998, I began acting in films. Over the years, I have accumulated more than seventy roles in movies and TV series. Among them are "Convoy PQ-17," "Brest Fortress," "Under Electric Clouds," "I'm Not in Pain," "Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin," "The Key of Time," "Off-Season," as well as various TV series.
In 2003, I was accepted into the troupe of the "Russian Enterprise Theatre named after Andrei Mironov." Today, I still work there as a contract actor and have played more than twenty roles.
In 2020, I wrote the book "The Way of Depurai." It is a satire based on my own experience and observations during an election campaign. I wanted to use simple and accessible language to tell what really happens during elections and to show how important it is to participate in this process, even if only with your vote. Then in 2021, my short story "One Vote" was published in the collection "Modus Operandi."
